Kosovo’s FM thanks the United Kingdom for supporting the recognition process

Prishtina, 11 December 2012 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, held a meeting with Paul Brummell, British High Commissioner in Barbados, together with the British Ambassador to Kosovo, Ian Cliff.

In the meeting, Minister Hoxhaj expressed the thanks and appreciation of the Kosovo Government and people for the strong support given by the United Kingdom and its diplomatic representatives, to Kosovo and in particular, to the process of consolidating the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo.

Hoxhaj praised the role of British diplomacy in increasing the number of recognitions of Kosovo, including lobbying in the Caribbean countries and other Commonwealth states.
Minister Hoxhaj informed the two senior British diplomats about progress occurring in Kosovo in all areas, the continual movement toward Euro-Atlantic integration and recent developments in the normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia.

Hoxhaj also emphasized the will of the Kosovo Government to further strengthen bilateral relations and exchange in all fields between Kosovo and the United Kingdom.

Paul Brummell, British High Commissioner in Barbados and the British Ambassador to Kosovo, Ian Cliff, praised the development of the Republic of Kosovo, expressing London’s firm support for Kosovo, and for consolidating its international subjectivity and its Euro-Atlantic integration.
